The ordinary terms on which BCP Schools is published. Nothing here should surprise anyone, but publishing without stating them would be sloppy.

What this site is
BCP Schools (bcpschools.co.uk) is an independently produced, informational reference site. Using it means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
It is information, not advice
Everything here is general information about state-funded secondary-phase schools in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. It is not professional or educational advice and it is no substitute for talking to the school itself or to the local authority. Choosing a school is a consequential decision specific to one child — do not make it on the strength of a page here without checking the position with the school and with the BCP admissions team. We are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of what you read on this site.
Accuracy, and its limits
Figures here are copied from official published datasets and each page says which — see our methodology. Even so, this site is offered "as is" and we make no warranty that every figure is current, complete or free of error. Official data is revised, schools convert and change URN, and inspection frameworks change. Where a snapshot date is shown, treat it as the point at which the information was true — not as a live feed.
Independence
BCP Schools is not operated by, affiliated with, funded by or endorsed by Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council, any school, any academy trust, the Department for Education or Ofsted. School names, logos and trade marks remain the property of their owners and are used here only to identify and discuss those schools, which we consider fair use for a reference work of this kind.
Advertising
This site carries automated display advertising through Google AdSense, which is what funds it. Advertisers have no influence over content, no school can pay to be included or described favourably, and an ad next to a school's data says nothing about that school. What an advertiser offers is between you and that advertiser; we do not vet advertisers and are not party to any transaction you make with one. Our privacy policy covers the cookies involved.
Copyright
The original text, analysis, layout and code of this site are ours. Quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link — that is what citation is for — but wholesale copying or republication of the site or its compiled datasets is not permitted without asking first. Material drawn from official sources, including Ofsted judgements and Department for Education performance and finance data, is Crown copyright and generally available under the Open Government Licence v3.0; that licence, not ours, governs its reuse.

Corrections and removals
If something here about your school is wrong, out of date, or should not be published, email hello@bcpschools.co.uk saying which page and why. We would much rather fix an error than defend one.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, move or withdraw any page at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
